I’m a little skeptical just because I’m thinking along the lines of prices- I can easily see the games being the giant money spenders like all the new games are, along with of course the console itself, which I’m sure will be a huge price tag (very same reason I have a 2ds and not a Wii U) so I’m going to be hanging around ebay and the pawn shop in town when it comes out.
Other than that I think it’s the Wii U with MANY flaws fixed such as being able to detach controllers (and that BEAUTIFUL standard controller!!) bigger screen, very hardcore gamer-looking. I’m not so keen on the multiplayer with the tiny controllers and so I would hope to get more controllers to play multiplayer.
Was very glad to see no strange gimmicks at all, this is a genuine gaming machine. Was a little surprised not to see a camera on there anywhere.
I am SUPER GLAD they are doing Splatoon, even if it’s just a port with new levels, that would be at the top of my list to get, along with BotW, (OH PLEASE SMASH BROS)!!
AND ALL THE THIRD PARTY DEVS!! Definitely the best part for marketing in general. For me- first party games is what I’m interested in most. But I would definitely play third party since they got some really good companies in there.

Definitely agree with you on those fronts. For me price isn’t a big concern. Likely it will be around 300-350$ and i have a job so that’s easily affordable. Also with me usually playing home console games i’m used to that 60$ price tag. The detachable controllers are a bit small for multiplayer but i’d have to use them to know for sure. Luckily that’s not really an issue since you can just use the new and improved Pro controller instead. Speaking of which, the new pro controller looks WAY better than the Wii U one, so i’m happy about that. Definitely hyped about the enhanced Splatoon port. Even tho i have the Wii U version, i’d definitely trade it in and buy the enhanced Switch version. 3rd party support is all kinds of good for the Switch so far, which is very promising. (I actually made a video and post on that so check it out) The camera is probably omitted to help with the price, especially since no one really used it on the other consoles anyways. The best part of that trailer was the messaging. They nailed it! Also i’m really looking forward to knowing more about that 3d mario game. To me it looked very much like a more Mario 64 type game, with a few 3d world elements thrown in there as well, which i like. There doesn’t seem to be any time limit, the camera is way more dynamic than 3d world, Mario’s model is way more like 64, and the way he controls is as well. I think its mainly a 64 type game, with a few 3d world elements thrown in to freshen it up. Over all i am so stoked about the Switch and can’t wait to get more info, and get my Pre-order in so i cant SWITCH over from the Wii U;) Amazing Job Nintendo!!!

Especially since I’ve never had a Wii U, the ports/remakes/sequels are definitely a plus.
I think the biggest thing though from a marketing standpoint is that they can advertise this as an ACTUAL HARDCORE GAMING DEVICE. I mean they have Bethsaida on board! My dad would buy one if he could get a new Fallout on it or something and he almost never plays video games at all! GENIUS!
